Linda's Story
Linda was a 5’ 2”, 161 pound math teacher who was unhappy with the way her weight was adding up. So she subtracted 46 pounds with HMR. “HMR altered the course of my life,” Linda says. “You lose weight. You look better. You feel younger. I learned practical ways to apply what we’ve all heard about nutrition, while getting the support I needed to make those changes.” In eight months, Linda soared past her goal weight to reach 115 pounds and a size 2. Her cholesterol also dropped, from 225 to 175. “I love the accountability of HMR and the sharing of ideas and recipes. My health educator would applaud in our successes and help when things were difficult. And the food tastes great. The shakes are delicious, and I take the entrees wherever I go.” While Linda is grateful for her new trim silhouette, it is the way she feels that really matters. “The world is a lot different when you’re bigger, and I wouldn’t go back for anything. It’s the best feeling in the world to know that everything in my closet fits, everything looks good.” What lessons did this teacher ultimately learn? “I wouldn’t be where I am today had it not been for the changes I made. And I don’t mean just appearances. I mean the health changes and the attitude changes. I can’t tell you how great I feel. HMR made all the difference.”
